Vista Reflections

"The visual style was named 'Reflections' because the wallpaper, color scheme, and the blur of the window borders affect the look of most of the glass elements. You can try turning off glass, set the color scheme to Teal and make it look like a Windows Live Style. You can experiment with the look of the visual style."

My Upgraded Rig and Usual Journal Stuff

Woah, it's been February 3, 2009 since I made a journal entry.

If it isn't obvious enough, I've been busy with other things like music and my newly upgraded computer. If you hate text blocks, just read paragraphs 5, 7 and 8.

First, it's my upgraded rig. My PC now has 3GB RAM, 750 GB hard drive space (Or 0.75 TB to make it sound a little more awesome XD) a secondary monitor (CRT, lol), and a Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 XP. (I know, there are better tuner hardware out there but it just so happened that I got that one 8D... works pretty well anyhow and that's what's important) And I know there's 1 person out there who cares that my newly upgraded PC is called "Flash Volt." (Not that that is really important XD) Ok, that wasn't really that overwhelming but it suits my needs and I like it. Oh and there's one more upgrade I made which I'm not going to mention right now. It's a secret. ;)

And what have I been up to? Well nothing much really. It's the third month of our (rainy) summer vacation and I've been doing things that interest me like jamming with friends, visiting friends' houses, and the usual stuff.

I've also finished my biggest project since Vista Reflections which is my DTXMania V4 Skin. That skin isn't really intended for the customization community and it isn't a Windows 7 look-alike visual style either. But I got to say, that project took a hell lot of time. In fact, the time it took to complete that project is much longer compared to the average time needed to make 3 quality visual styles for Vista, and I'm serious about that. o_o

I've also been discovering more of my interest in music. Basically, I've been doing not-so-new things that are still pretty much different to what I've been usually doing. I've even made a new blog: Least One Hundred. That, too, is not intended for the computer customization community, but do check it out if you're interested. :)

I'm looking forward to doing more things in the "real world" this May like continuing my drumming lessons and hanging out with my sophomore friends. There won't be any new projects until... umm... I don't know when really. Okay, congratulations if you actually read all of those. XD

But it's not like I'm leaving dA. And it's not like I'm taking a break either. I'm simply "busy." ;)

I already loved to use computers even before I learned how to skin software. When I was in sixth grade, I learned how to program in VB6 and I became interested in customizing my desktop. Eventually, I learned skinning through ViStart. My first software skin Longhorn Resources was also the very first ViStart skin to be submitted here in dA. ;) (May 16, 2007)

2009 is probably my most inactive year here in dA as I haven't been making any new skins. One reason to this is that, IMO, the XP to Vista transition was the height of desktop customization, which was back in early 2007. The other reason is that I'm actually exploring more of my musical side.

Anyhow, it doesn't really matter if I submit deviations here less often since one thing remains the same. I will always be a computer enthusiast. :)

And yes, I am not subscribed, but I seem to have a beta tester status. (Don't know about privileges :lol:)
